Net Book Reflection

 Room 5 we are looking back and seeing how it was with our Chromebooks and our favorite. I know I have learnt this by writing all the details about my Chromebook. 

I can even search thing’s faster. I can search things faster because it has everything I need like facts about Saint Dominic,facts about space,and facts about the water cycle. If you want to type something it will come straight on your screen but only if you click on the word. Google has billions of stuff that you could go on. If I did not have a Chromebook I would be lost because if you had a book you have to turn the pages over and over and over again. Our work will be saved even if we closed it.       

Maori Musical Instruments

In Room 5 we are learning to discover Maori Musical instruments. I know I have learnt this when I know the Mario  instruments and what they are use for.

In Room 5 we am learning to discover all our star and communicate. I no I have learnt this when my postcard that I am writing to my family tells them everything about the star that I'm on. My digital leaning object shows what I have been doing on the star.      

Saint Dominic

We are learning about Saints. I know I have learnt this by telling all the details in the story about Saint Dominic like how did he died, how he lived his life, his important family information,  how he became a Saint, how he inspire people to follow Jesus, and where he was born. My digital  object is my Saint.

Fractions

We are learning  about fraction. I know I have learnt this by splitting fractions into half's and holes. My digital object is fractions.

Constellation

we are learning about constellation. I know I have learnt this by making a swan on a film canasta. A constellation is a picture that the stars make. My digital object is a constellation.  

My Maori Work

We are learning how the Maori people got to preserve their food. I know I have learnt this by answering my questions. My questions was how people preserve fermentation with food? The food is placed in a flax basket and it is soaked in a lake for days or weeks until the flesh is stetted. The food is smelly but it is good to eat it. The Maori people dig a hole and place the food inside. And my other questions was what is fermentation? Well fermentation is food process that lasts longer stops the food from rotting. It is for persevering food. it is like changing grapes into wine. My key words questions was Mario people preserve fermentation with food.              

My Prayer To The People In Purgatory

In Room 5 we are learning how to write a prayer to the people in purgatory. I know I have learnt this by writing a prayer to the people in  purgatory. My digital objects shows me how to  write a prayer to the people in  Purgatory. Purgatory is a place where dead people reflect on what they have done on earth and get ready to go to Heaven and be with God.

Dear forgiving God

Thank you God for the good life that you gave us on earth. Help the people in purgatory to reflect in what they have done on earth. They are looking back in their sins on earth so that they can be washed away and be perfect just like Heaven. I ask for your forgiveness in the people in purgatory. Please help everyone in purgatory to get prepare for Heaven. I promise to make good choices and pray for people in purgatory.

Buds

Today Room 1 came to our class room to visit us. We taught room 1 how to use webcam toy. My buds name is called Christian. His favorite dinner is macaroni cheese. His favorite snack is cookies. His favorite lunch is potato top pie.

Squash

WALT research a question using Google. I know that I have learnt this by answering my question. My digital object is my question, my key words that I used for my question, and my answer. My answer to my question is James Will-Strop and my key word were "Worlds champion, squash player". My question was who was the champion in squash?    

My Rosary

We are leaning about the rosary. The first sorrowful mystery is Baptism of our lord, The second  sorrowful mystery is Wedding Feast, The third sorrowful mystery is The Proclamation, The fourth sorrowful mystery  is Transfiguration, The fifth sorrowful mystery  is The Eucharist. The mystery tell's us about  a story. My digital object is my Rosary beads that I made. Saint Dominic created the Rosary.

My Awesome Invitation

WALT communicate. I know I have learnt this by writing a invitation and having Simon and Ethan respond to my invitation. My digital object shows all the details of Mission Day so Ethan and Simon will know where to go and what to do .

I believe people under 13 should not have a Facebook account because it is super bad.

We should not have a Facebook account because someone could bully. This is bad because They can bully you by swearing at you.

We should not have a Facebook account because they could kidnap you.This is bad because if you put your street number  and your address he or she will kidnap you.

We should not have a Facebook account because someone will hack into your account.This is bad because they could go on to YouTube and learn how to hack on someone Facebook account.

Reason.1 We should not play with matches because it could burn down your house. This Is bad because you could lose everything that you need for body.

I am updating you about what I have learnt today. In maths today room 5 learnt how to do times tables and additions.  I thought it was a lot easy and fun too.

We are learning to eat the right food and to stay healthy because God had made us in his image if we eat right food we are respecting God. I know what food is healthy and whats not healthy this is what my food pyramid looks like.

 We are learning to make a structure for a persuasion text . The structure we used had a thesis, three reason and with each reason it had three facts or example, the last bit was the conclusion. I know I have learnt the structure of a persuasion  text when I can write a persuasion text.

 WALT use non-standard to find the area of the shape. I know I have learnt this by doing all the steps like drawing a shape and estimating and taking a picture and checking it.My object shows me that six  can fit in the area of the shape.

We have been learning about goals I know I have learnt this by writing my goals I have achieve my goal by being positive. 

My goal for writing is to write  ambitious vocab.  This is important because it will make people read it and it will make my story more interesting.The steps I will take to achieve my goal will be  ambitions vocab and put exiting words.I need six ambitions vocab in writing.

My goal for Reading  is to learn new words. This is important because  it can help you in your writing. The steps I will take to achieve my goal will be learning new words and can help in writing to.

WALT We are learning how the annoying of the sick get special graces. The anointing of the sick get blessed when they very sick. When they are blessed with oil they get the special graces that helps dying be easier. I know the special graces because they are in my letter.

Thank you God  for our healthy mind, body and soul. Thank you for your  doctors  and that you gave us that give us special medicine to heal us.                                                                           We are learning to use exiting words in our witting . Mrs Richardson gave us a boring word we used the thesaurus to write exiting words. Instead of tell in my writing I can use explain, advise or express.

First we did  crosshatch. We had to go light to dark.Then we had to check with a partner and say what we did well and some things we could do better then we showed Mrs Richardson. After we check with Mrs.Richardson we had to put it into our blog. This is my sketching.

First Mrs Richardson  told us the symbol of
Baptism and we all talked about what the mean. Then we went on sumo paint I draw  a candle.  It is a symbol of light and Jesus is the light of the world.

This is a Scare-City (Scarcity)

We are learning about water for Social Studies. We were talking about scarcity, physical, abundance and resources. We had to write what they meant on a doc and add examples. Then we had to create a poster. This is my poster about scarcity. I hope you like it.

My goal for writing is to use the punctuation pyramid. This is important because It will make writing interesting so that people would want to read it. Palm Sunday

Dear......family

This week I have been learning about Palm Sunday this is my letter to my family.

It was fun in Jerusalem today. There were people who was shouting “Hosanna in the highest in Heaven” It was really loud. I saw Jesus on a donkey. The crowd were putting palms and blankets on the ground for the donkey to walk over. It was like a superstar had come to visit Jerusalem. Everyone thinks he is the son of God. Saint Patrick's Day

On Friday it was Saint Patrick's Day.First I got  change into my uniform.Then I went to have                                                      

breakfast, for breakfast I had weetbix.Afterwards I kissed my mum and dad and said goodby.And  I walked

to school.When I got to school I played with the balloon.While I was playing with the balloon I poped it

then Miss.Richardson told me not to play with the balloon

.And then I went to go play games on the whiteboard And  the bell ring. 

Germination

We have been learning about germination. Germination is a life of process of a seed. Also they are like a timeline.The seed coat breaks it is white.Then the radicle comes out from the seed it is the first root to grow it was green.The plumule it is the first shoot. This is my picture.
